I’m looking to purchase 16 GB of RAM. I found two options: the Corsair Vengeance Pro RGB 3200 MHz 16 GB single stick and a similar product with double the capacity at 8 GB but 3000 MHz. The latter is more expensive, while the former fits your gaming needs on an MSI B360-A Pro motherboard with four RAM slots. I’d prefer saving money by choosing the first option, but if it affects performance I’ll go with the second one.

since you secured four slots, i recommend choosing two 8GB units. alternatively, i can help you locate more affordable RAM options that offer better performance on amazon.

What speed is the RAM actually using? For instance, comparing 3200Mhz at CL16 versus 3000Mhz at CL15 won’t show much difference. Except when one runs in dual-channel, which is significantly quicker.

Hey there, feel free to reach out. Amazon is really great... You’ve got some intel, so speed isn’t a big deal. Go with a 2x8 setup—it’s better than just one because it makes it simpler to get info from two sources.

The motherboard supports XMP profiles, but adjusting it won't necessarily raise the frequency to 3000MHz. If you can't achieve that, opting for a cheaper model with a lower frequency might be more practical.

I verified that the 2666 MHz version isn't in stock, so I’m switching to the 3000 MHz model. Is this an issue? It seems like it would need to operate at a slower frequency than expected.
