The price for the 10700k is not specified. It might help to recover some extra money or simplify the sale of the 8300 if it includes a motherboard. Alternatively, you could opt for a Ryzen processor. Upgrading often provides solid benefits!

For a 3080 with extra RAM, opt for the 9900K. Keep in mind that the D15 might fall short when you try to push the 9900K hard.

I evaluated the options carefully. The 10700k at retail is priced higher than the 9700k in many cases, especially for gaming and 1080p performance. At 2.5K resolution, the gap might not justify the cost unless hyper-threading is essential. I’m leaning toward the 9700k since it’s more affordable (around 235€) and still meets my needs. I’d prefer to get it if possible, but I also need to persuade my wife, as I’ve invested heavily in my current PC and haven’t received most of my parts yet.
