I’d pick the i7-2600 instead of the i5-3570K. More titles enjoy the extra threads now compared to just the clock speed of the 3570K. Unless your buddy is heavily into games like CS:GO or League of Legends, go with the 2600.

2600 supports hyperthreading with eight cores. The 3570k lacks this feature. Performance between Sandy Bridge and Ivy Bridge cores remains modest. Choose the 2600 for better results.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought I mentioned four but it should be eight with HT. I was hoping the i7 2600 would work better, just needed to double-check. Appreciate your support!
