Hi everyone. I'm setting up a new system this year, probably early next year. I'm planning to upgrade later, so I'll go with a Ryzen 7000 build. For the motherboard, I've narrowed it down to two choices: Asrock B650M PG Riptide (no WiFi) and B650M Gaming X AX (WiFi). My main concern is whether I should pick one with WiFi or not. I mainly need it for my Bluetooth speaker, which works fine either way. Both boards use Realtek ALC897 audio, and I've confirmed with AMD's lists and forums that mid-range models are common. Since I already have a USB headphone and a Bluetooth speaker, I don't think extra WiFi is necessary unless I want future-proofing. What do you all think?

I’d choose the Gigabyte board for its reliability. You don’t need a sound card if you’re connecting via USB—it will function as an external USB DAC and won’t rely on the internal sound card.

I performed some calculations on the combined costs of both configurations, and they ended up being around one dollar or two. That was the main factor that led me to choose this board and then question myself repeatedly.

The pg rip current offers improved capabilities and higher VRM performance. Although it may appear slightly less polished, I believe the trade-off is worthwhile.

The Asrock board features VRM thermals, which are a plus. The Gigabyte board offers quicker startup times.

You're asking about quicker startup times. The SSD helps, but other factors like the motherboard design and power delivery also play a role.
