I'm focusing on everyday tasks, unlikely to push overclocking limits. Just wanted to clarify since someone mentioned the 4-layer PCB layout for the MSI board isn't ideal. Will this affect normal operation?

This enables clearer signals and higher frequency support without excessive distortion. In real-world terms, it lets you use four memory sticks at 4000 MHz on a six-layer board, whereas a four-layer board might only handle 3600 or 3200 MHz for the same sticks. Most everyday users won’t need to overclock or use more than two memory modules, so these details won’t impact them much. The main advantage comes from the USB-C front panel header on MSI boards, making Gigabyte’s option more appealing if price is comparable. Other models in a similar price range might offer even better performance for a few extra dollars.

I wouldn't choose ASRock for the B550. It doesn't make sense. Among the options you mentioned, the MSI MPG B550 GAMING PLUS seems best. If you could afford it, the MEG B550 UNIFY is a solid choice, particularly for overclocking.
