It seems like a minor concern, but when I tried to look it up, I kept running into ads and couldn't find a clear solution.
I own a nice black leather case that fits a 9th generation Fire 10 HD, but I broke the device.
I have an used 11th generation Fire 10 HD on the way, and I'm wondering how challenging it is to adapt my current case for the newer model.
What are the differences in port and button placement?

With the new tablet already en route, just hold off until it gets here.
Check out the changes.

You're right, I understood your point clearly. I was just anticipating further steps.

The magnets in the case, or whatever powers the device when the lid is lifted, are not positioned identically, which means the older case won’t work properly when opened.
The camera and button holes could be adjusted, but the fit isn’t perfect—just a bit longer in width and shorter in height.
I get why a new CPU or RAM slot would be useful, but this seems unnecessary. I bought the same model I liked for $20 and it works perfectly.
A positive review for GoodWillFinds: the used 11th generation Fire HD 10 64GB tablet functions well. The total came to $52. FireTools from XDA managed to unlock Android and Google features without any issues.
