It used to be different, especially where I live now. With DDR4 technology advancing, prices have stayed stable. You can find affordable AM5 boards and CPUs such as the 7400/7400F/7500F to reduce costs. However, availability varies by region, and the 8400F remains the most budget-friendly option. When comparing the 5700X and 5700G, if you don’t plan to use built-in graphics, the 5700X offers better performance, though it won’t be obvious with a RX 560.

I didn't check for a lower cost, I wanted to know how to pick between 5700X and 5700G. All parts aren't from Amazon. I think DDR4 is available now while DDR5 will have to be ordered from a supplier at higher prices. Both models are in stock, but likely they were delivered on different days, which explains the price gap. The 7400/7400F/7500F options aren't in stock yet, and the 8400F will take about 3-4 weeks to arrive.

I sense a communication gap. You’re pointing out that the 5700X offers PCIe 4.0 and speed advantages for multi-threaded tasks, yet you feel there’s little value in debate. The current GPU provides sufficient performance without the added cost, while the CPU trade-off doesn’t justify the expense. It seems the decision is clear—proceed with what you have.

He isn't actually building a system, he just notices things and then asks about them. It';s like a kid, pointing at things and going "what about that?" Or that? THis one? No, that one too? There isn't a goal here except for some god level curiosity and a forum that they can make post after post asking about things. Don't read too far into it.

For performers who need SC or MC roles, the X version is ideal. The cache plays a key part. You earn the G if you're working with limited budgets. Unless you can afford all these features at a low cost, it's not worth the investment for older performances (Zen 3).
