Comparing Ryzen 5 1400 and Ryzen 3 3100 models
I'm assembling a budget gaming rig using parts I already have, and I'm out of a processor. For the same budget I can choose between a Ryzen 3 3100 or a Ryzen 5 1400. I understand the latter is an older generation but I'm not sure which one fits best. Any advice? It should work with an old GFX 1650 card, thanks! Martin
On an X570 system, you can likely find a more affordable option.
Absolutely, 3100 is definitely right. Grab an used RX580—it’s still got some life left.
You'll receive the Ryzen 3, and for the graphics card, you already possess one, which you'll evaluate through benchmarking.
