You're considering upgrading your I3 8350k to a Ryzen 2700x with a B450 MB RAM. The benchmarks show a slight slowdown, but the workstation version offers a significant boost. Your usage mix—gaming, Discord, YouTube, and streaming—means you likely need more performance than the desktop version provides. Prioritizing extra cores could help, especially if you're looking to keep up with your current habits.

They also mentioned purchasing a 3600x option, but I’d prefer not to invest much.

Don't rely solely on CPU benchmarks like Cpu userbenchmark 2700x when comparing to i3 8350k; real-world performance matters more. While 3600 might crush gaming, 2700x shines in multi-core tasks. If you're focused on gaming only, 3600 is fine, but for productivity, 2700x offers better value. You can upgrade to an i7 on your LGA 1151 board if needed.

Userbenchmark performs poorly when comparing CPU speeds, giving more weight to single-threaded speed than multi-threaded capabilities, which distorts the outcomes. Still, the 3600 model typically outperforms the i3 in most scenarios.

cpubenchmark isn't reliable. Its method for comparing CPUs is really problematic. 2700x is a huge improvement over the 8350k.

Core requirements have shifted—multi-core setups now demand more power. New titles benefit from 8 cores plus 16 threads, making your i3 insufficient. These specs also boost performance for productivity tasks. For pure gaming, choose the model with a higher clock speed instead.

It seems reliable, and the 2700X outperforms the i3 with twice the cores (four times more processing power). For gaming, the 3600 might offer better value.

Hey everyone, it's shocking they cut the MC price of the Ryzen 2700x to 130
