I do mostly 8K video editing on my system and I'm without a GPU at the moment. Im just using the iGPU to render stuff, because I've been waiting for these new GPUs to come out. I know AMDs GPU will be out I believe on March 5th, and the 5070 Ti is already out. Now typically for creators and editing, you'd want to stick with Nvidia cards, as AMD is mainly a gamers card. But I'm wondering if that has changed for this new release? I havent been able to find creators benchmarks yet, so has anyone seen how the new 9070 XT is for video editing? I know its a little early to tell, but I'm putting feelers out there to see if the info is out there yet. Either that or I'll have to come back to this thread when AMD is officially released.

Typically team green leads in creator content. No one can provide answers until certain side by side benchmarks are released. The main challenge is locating a card that's currently available. I think detailed benchmarks won't be available here soon, but you'll likely see useful data from the next couple of months. It seems like you have a solid setup!

I invested heavily in my setup to handle 8k video, which puts a lot of strain on the system. I replace components every couple of years, such as the CPU, to keep things running smoothly.

Currently there are no reviews available for the 9800XT for a week or two, which means no one can provide an answer at the moment.

Video editing? Check out Arc A770 with an Intel iGPU—it outperforms the 5090 and costs just 200$ in China.

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti could be a great choice for budget builds or might come out to be quite expensive. What are its performance levels in content creation tasks? Many reviews point to Nvidia as the preferred option, while AMD struggles in most comparisons. Now I'm weighing the RTX 5070TI against the RTX 5080, especially considering the $400 price gap in Canada.

Honestly, you wouldn't approach either until they fix all the faulty chips and make sure the entire area has a fire extinguisher ready if something goes wrong.
