The problem lies with an unidentified solution. As it becomes clear, most users here don’t handle such high speeds and struggle even with XMP. The safest choice is to purchase the highest quality RAM, regardless of compatibility concerns. XMP requires Intel-specific timing data, not AMD. I’ve noticed it’s much simpler with premium memory than budget options. Even with a Zen+ controller, 3600mhz stability is achievable. So yes, spending around $100 on top-tier components could be worthwhile for better performance. Does this imply they’ll function? Not necessarily. You might still need to force them to use DOCP. If it were an Intel build, you’d prefer at least 4000mhz RAM.

There isn't a 4000mhz RAM for the NEO, and it's worth questioning if spending an extra $200 for that amount is justified.

Ryzen can actually drop performance when memory usage exceeds 3733/3800. Latency increases significantly because the clock frequency is constrained to operate in a 1:2 mode.

It makes sense of the feedback. The chip works well at 4267mhz CL19-19-19. It handles CL14-14-14 at 4000mhz, and 4300mhz is a modest boost within limits. Pairing it with the right setup seems worthwhile. Higher memory speeds aren’t typical with AMD designs.
