I previously used the Oculus Rift and was impressed, so I’m eager to get one. Since I don’t want to wait for the next generation, I need to decide between the HTC Vive and the Oculus Rift.

The Oculus Rift remains a solid choice now that the $399 cost is fixed.

I wouldn't recommend it. You can play Oculus titles with the Revive tool, and it's a solid VR option overall. However, it doesn't justify the extra $200 compared to the Rift.

The game runs smoothly on Oculus, similar to Steam titles, with a consistent library setup.

The Oculus Store and Steam coexist, with certain titles available in both but exclusive releases in each platform. The Oculus Rift supports both officially, whereas the Vive requires Steam access and uses the unofficial Revive tool for Oculus content.

Oculus Touch are the devices I use, but I’d pick VIVE for a bit just to challenge Oculus for being unreasonable and restricting content. PC offers the flexibility to play games on any system or hardware you prefer. Unlike me, you likely don’t spend more than $200 on spite xP.

Money isn’t the issue, my friend—I’m just choosing the best option for me. With a small space in my room, it’s important to make the most of what I have.
