I upgraded to Windows 11 mainly due to its DirectStorage features, and I noticed improved FPS. However, I haven’t done a full comparison yet. I understand that Windows Server tends to resist driver updates, but if you installed all the drivers, I’m just interested in how it performs. Are there any differences in gaming performance across these operating systems?

I'm not fully sure if there are any significant differences between server versions that would affect gameplay compared to a standard Home version. As long as all necessary software libraries and drivers are present, the main variations should be minor. According to what I understand, the only changes are removing non-essential software on servers—such as Paint or pre-installed Microsoft Store apps—and enabling other services. The core operating system should remain consistent, which helps keep development simpler.

There might be minor variations in single-digit FPS changes, but at most.

I'm not fully sure if there are any significant differences between server versions that would affect gameplay compared to a regular home version. As long as all necessary software libraries and drivers are present, the main variations should be minor. According to what I understand, the only changes are removing non-essential programs on servers—such as Paint or pre-installed Microsoft Store apps—and turning on other services. The core operating system should remain consistent, which helps keep development straightforward.
