Processor: AMD Ryzen 3600 Motherboard: MSI B450 Tomahawk Graphics Card: Asus Strix RTX 3070ti You need to decide between two options for upgrading your system. Corsair Vengeance RGB RS 16GB DDR4 3200MHz versus G.Skill Trident Z 16GB DDR4 3200MHz. The key difference I noticed is CL. Corsair offers 16-20-20-38 while G.Skill provides 16-18-18-38. Which one should you purchase?

When options are limited and prices are similar, opt for the G.Skill kit. If alternatives exist, another kit is likely more valuable since they tend to be significantly overpriced.

It offers a bit more precise timing. In real use you probably won't see the difference, though it's actually improved technically.

I rarely rely on Corsair anymore, yet the distinctions between them seem minimal. I appreciate G.Skill instead.

The standard dice in both Corsair and GSKill models are typically 6-sided dice, though specific variations may exist depending on the edition or customization.

They’ll go for inferior parts, but I’d stick with G.Skill.

I mean the RGB RS isn't as varied as Vengeance LPX. Still, I'd double-check other options like 3200C16, especially with a 16-18-18 subtiming as @RONOTHAN suggests. If this is for stock use, you probably won't notice a difference unless the tRFC is unusually high.

Consider what you need most. G.Skill Trident Z RGB could be a good pick if you're looking for a vibrant display. What else matters to you?
