Hello, I was planning to purchase an affordable B450 motherboard just for my 3400G processor and maybe some overclocking for fun. Since the cheaper B450 models lack a heatsink on the SoC VRM and often have inconsistent voltage delivery, I decided against buying them. Then someone recommended the ASRock B450M-Pro4. However, after factoring in taxes and shipping, it came to around $140. I discovered a better option for $90 with tax and shipping included for a new non-MATX B450. I was wondering if this model is worth it despite its higher price. How does the ASRock build compare to the B450M? Apart from being larger, are there significant differences in quality? The connectors seem a bit cheap-looking in the photos. Should I still consider the B450 as a good alternative compared to the B450M?

My finances are tight and the B550 seems too costly. It's odd since Amazon.com lists the B450m-Pro4 at 83$, but when you factor in taxes, shipping, and other costs it jumps to 140$. On a European Amazon I discovered the B450 non M for 66 euros, which is cheaper and includes lower taxes and shipping.
I've assembled a few PCs using the Asrock B450 Pro4 and B450M Pro4. In my view, these boards are exceptionally solid—connectors feel comparable to higher-end models (likely using identical components) and they’ve performed reliably under stress. The top-tier CPU I installed was a 2700X, and it handled it effortlessly.
