I'm not sure about this. It's the Elite, not the Pro. In the end, power stage differences don't really matter much for my use case. A good thing about Gigabyte is that I know their BIOS well.
Elite, kek. That came to mind when I was typing it. You can go with the TUF for the look, but you'll have to pay a pretty big ASUS fee. The Aorus Elite seems like a better all-around board.
I agree with the stronger power configuration of the Gigabyte board. Both have 50A each, totaling 600A. He won’t be drawing 600 amps—definitely not close. It shouldn’t be a big concern. As I mentioned before, if we were using LN2... the Gigabyte board might be the better choice.
Yes, that's correct. However, I agree the ASUS board works well. The Gigabyte option offers better value, and @Mister Woof would likely pay extra for the TUF if he chose it. Ultimately, both are decent choices, depending on your needs and priorities like appearance or performance.
Based on the information you provided, the numbers seem to favor the Gigabyte model. It offers better value with a lower price, superior sound chip, more USB ports, and is currently in stock. The ASUS option has a higher rating but comes at a higher cost. You chose the Gigabyte for its affordability and availability.
