Comparing 5900x and 5950x highlights differences in size and scale.
Involves many considerations. Can you manage the cost of a CPU for a personal project? How long are you prepared to wait for a purchase? A 3700x is quite capable. What else makes up your system? The CPU is central, but other components play important roles too. How much RAM do you need? What kind of storage solution fits? And what graphics card will suit your needs?
CPU: Ryzen 7 3700X (already owned) RAM: 32GB 3600Mhz CL17 (owned) GPU: 6800XT (99% – looks like it's the best option right now; I previously had an RX 5700XT but it was faulty, so I didn't want to buy a full GPU this summer since I knew what would be announced later) MOBO: MSI X570 Unify (already owned) STORAGE: 500GB EVO PLUS (owned) + 1000GB/500GB SAMSUNG 980 PRO (not decided yet) + another 1000GB/500GB EVO (not added) CPU COOLER: NOCTUA U14-S (already owned) CASE: Be Quiet 500DX (already owned) PSU: Bitfenix Whisper M 850W (already owned) To be honest, I don’t feel the need to spend a lot on the CPU these days. Recently I’ve been focusing more on my time because I’ve been working part-time and started another business with my mother in late September. I’ve been doing YouTube as a hobby since 2016 (around 1000–1500 subscribers, but I deleted the channel) and I’ve picked it up again this fall. In short, I’d like a 5900X because improvements in gaming and productivity feel worth the investment, and it seems like a reasonable price. The 5800X costs 2300zł in Poland, 5900X is 2800zł, and 5950X is 4200zł. Switching from 5800X to 5900X adds just 500zł for four more cores, while going from 5900X to 5950X would cost an extra 1400zł for the same gain – it looks like a pretty good deal overall. I was also wondering what you all think about this, by the way, with 1$ = 3,8PLN.
Będzie Ci to ułatwić. Można go kupić już teraz.
