Comparing 3950x Custom Loop and AIO models highlights different features and options.
I wondered if anyone else has tried switching from a 360mm AIO to a custom loop on the 3950x. I'm curious about the temperature differences since the CPU gets very hot in the IHS area with many cores packed together. I think my question is whether there will be a significant change between an AIO block and a high-end EK block. This might not be the most insightful question, but I thought it was worth asking. I'm replacing my 9900k with the 3950x into a custom loop, and the 3950x was previously in an AIO on another PC. While it's a step down for gaming, I'm still processing my return to the RMA process and switching to Ryzen for better performance. For details on the loop, I have two 56mm thick 480mm rads and a 360mm 56mm thick rad. It's definitely extra, but I prefer going overkill. My 2080ti is also being upgraded. The block I'm using is an EK Quantum Momentum Monoblock.
