Some say 3600 is faster, others think the difference isn't huge, and a few claim 3200 is actually quicker. When it comes to latency, 3600 CL16 has about 8.88 ns while 3200 CL14 has 8.75 ns, so technically the latter is slightly better. But I've heard that even with that small gap, 3600 will still be an improvement. Considering overclocking and XMP profiles, it seems turning a 3200 CL14 into a 3600 CL16 could work well. Since you mentioned a Ryzen 5 3600x and an MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX, I wonder if upgrading to 3600 might be more practical than going higher. What do you think? Some even suggest you can swap them without any issues, like changing the 3600 to the 3200 and vice versa. People joke about different default settings but mostly agree they’re similar. Ragnarok also mentioned this earlier, noting that while the exact RAM isn’t specified, the 3200 can easily match the 3600 in timing. I’m still trying to confirm this for myself.
