It makes a noticeable impact. 3000MHz remains quite high, and even small gains like 5 FPS matter significantly in flight simulations where performance is crucial.

Haha, I can't provide a precise figure. If you're concerned about every frame, you might actually achieve a few frames per second. Spending time optimizing your CPU and GPU settings would likely yield better results.

You're asking about adjusting settings for Zen 2. The RAM should be placed in slots 2 and 4. The SOC should be set to 1.1 and DRAM to 1.35. Then test the overclock at 3200 with XMP enabled.

It seems the setup was unusual. I used XMP with DRAM 1.35 without any extra settings, which meant I had to reset CMOS. I didn’t test the SOC yet—might it affect things? I managed to post at 1.37V on DRAM, but Memtest still detected errors regularly. Versions 1.38 and 1.39 didn’t improve the situation either.

Yea. The soc voltage basically overclocks the io die. So the apu if there's one. The imc etc. Set it to 1.35 and mess around with the soc voltage. Don't go over 1.2 though. The topology on the Tomahawk is great so that's obviously not a problem. And the imc should handle 3200 easily.

They shared their experience online and encountered a BSOD during shutdown. They're using MemTest and it seems effective. If not, consider adjusting the SoC voltage to 1.15 or similar. An error was already detected in MemTest.

Zen 2's imc should manage it well. The variation isn't significant, and it won't be obvious in practice. You'll likely not notice it unless you're paying close attention. Just keep the speed under 1.2v if you want certainty.
