Comparing 2060 Super and 5700 XT for capturing gameplay
Hello. I'm curious about how the 5700 XT compared to the 2060 Super for capturing gameplay. The 5700 XT is a gigabyte gaming OC, while the 2060 Super is priced around 400$. It seems like a simple question, but I appreciate any advice you can offer beforehand!
In certain situations, the same price offers comparable performance. For top-tier NVIDIA supported titles, speed remains similar, while for others it may be marginally quicker.
The 5700XT provides more power, while the 2060 Super combined with Shadowplay delivers superior audio recording capabilities.
The RX 5000 lineup faces some problems with its encoder and delivers much lower quality compared to RTX models using x264. The x265 works, but streaming isn't recommended unless you're okay with it. For capturing games, a strong CPU might be better suited instead. (Not sure about your CPU specs)
In short, pick a graphics card that matches your budget and gaming needs. For e-sports titles, a high-performance card with good frame rates is ideal.
The 2060 super offers improved recording quality. The 5700XT performs well, though it falls short compared to the 2060 super.
I don't keep track, I have 5700 XT. If you're aiming to save up, consider the 2060 Super or RX 2070.
