The main distinctions lie in performance features and compatibility. The two chipsets differ significantly in processing power, memory support, and connectivity options. Over the next five years, most users won’t perceive a noticeable change unless they upgrade hardware or use specialized applications.

X570 offers PCIe 4.0 and Zen 3/Ryzen 4000 compatibility. While some X470 models still work, most current builds don’t need them anymore.

X470 performs quite poorly compared to most X570 models, which are clearly better overall.

Thanks! That was exactly what I needed to concentrate on the x570.

Considering Intel and AMD options, it looks like Intel has a better selection, especially with gaming and streaming needs. AMD offers strong choices too, but Intel currently has more available boards. Decide based on your priorities—gaming or broader usage.

It's not advisable to purchase 9th generation Intel right now.

the x570 launched during the pandemic, causing production to slow or halt. now everyone is getting back up and running. i recommend waiting a month—stock should be back. i own an asrock x570 phantom gaming 4 and really like it. i also have a r7 2700 that runs well with the 4000 series, so i might upgrade depending on pricing.
