I’m considering switching to Windows XP for your netbook, wondering if it might lower its value.

It’s unlikely anyone will be interested if you install WinXP, unless they specifically need to run their own operating system on it.

It seems you're having trouble resetting your device. Since factory reset isn't possible, you might try other methods like using a recovery mode or data backup tools to remove unwanted files.

You could simply delete all your files, music, and pictures from the netbook and sell it in its current state.

That’s unclear what files hold your data and which are for the PC, since none are clearly labeled. When you click on the HDD in the file menu, it shows all different symbols. If you made a new admin user and then removed your profile, would that erase all files and programs linked to that profile?

That doesn't seem to be effective.

Could you clarify what you're referring to? The request seems unclear. Are you asking about deleting files or something else?
