Compare Windows 8 Lite and Windows 10 Lite features, performance, and compatibility.
I’m planning to replace my laptop’s built-in storage soon and want something beyond the standard Windows 10. Switching to Manjaro KDE sounds good, but I might still need a lightweight Windows version for specific software. Deciding between Windows 8.1 and 10 depends on what programs require them.
All those tweaks like "lite" or "small" don’t really add much value. Your system will perform similarly in speed, except for the features you choose to remove. Take Linux as an example—different lightweight versions work almost identically; performance changes mainly affect boot time and memory use. If RAM is a concern, just stick with a standard setup.
