The performance difference becomes clear on modern devices. Windows 7 feels quite slow. It's worth mentioning I'm working with a 144Hz display. A 60Hz screen looks like a messy blur.
I notice a slight distinction between my 75Hz TN panel and the nearby 60Hz one. Windows doesn’t appear sluggish on the lower refresh rate, but I still experience motion sickness with higher refresh rates. Perhaps my sensitivity to animations is lower at that speed.
I have heightened sensitivity to stutters. It might stem from my eyes adapting to rapid visual changes—60hz and even 75hz—which could trigger discomfort during gaming. That’s why I avoid consoles despite wanting to play; it causes me to stutter. Windows 7’s animations often have noticeable stutters, making it less responsive than Windows 8, though I’m not sure if this is common. The issue also affects smartphones like the LG G3 and Note 3, where stuttering feels problematic.
I'm using my Note1 Bro... don't mind me.
I also dislike stutters, and though my phone bothers me, I'm only on it for an hour or two a week at most.
PC is the worst—completely agree it's so bad and distracting.
