I've been reflecting a lot on W10 recently. Everyone keeps complaining about bugs, compatibility problems, and update failures. So, what’s the real reason people pick W10 over W7? Well, aside from W8/W8.1 which nobody likes, why would anyone want to skip W7 and jump straight to W10? I own W7 myself, and I have a powerful machine too...

Reduced resource consumption, quicker startup, and other impressive capabilities. Standout features include Microsoft tracking all your activities—similar to the NSA but with an even stronger focus on privacy invasion.

For gamers (especially those on Windows 10), DX12 stands out as a positive addition. However, privacy concerns remain in Windows 10, so consider sticking with earlier versions if you value discretion. Many people mention issues with Windows 10, but personally I’ve never faced problems. I experienced one BSOD a few weeks ago—my first ever—but it was caused by a faulty driver and USB webcam. The system handled it quickly. Another drawback is that updates are mandatory. You can’t simply refuse; the decision is yours. Your computer is your choice.

Exactly what I said one day. There's companies doing it all the time, so why moan now? Earlier today I said to my Dad "I'm not bothered if Win 10 spies on me. I have nothing bad to hide anyways."

Sure, I've stopped talking online after dropping from 7 to 10. You're not going to mention stuff like illegal drug deals, and you'll be... well, something will happen.

Currently we have at least 8GB of RAM, isn't that fine? My current usage is around 2.7GB with Chrome and Steam running in the background. Boot time is about 10 to 15 seconds on my laptop and 7 to 10 seconds on my PC. I don’t think a 2 to 3 second difference will make much of a difference. The DX12 vs DX11 performance gap is roughly around 3 to 5 frames per second in real games. Are there any exclusive titles for W10 that aren’t available on W7? No worries, just not aware of any exclusives for that system.
