My PC has been acting sluggish lately, with frequent crashes and slow loading times. Even after removing all unnecessary programs, the issue persists. Windows Defender reports everything is fine, though I don’t have any paid antivirus. I’m considering a full reinstall of Windows, but I’ve heard it can fix certain problems. Will switching to Windows 11 help? Also, I’m worried about losing data since my system runs on an SSD with minimal storage. If I reinstall Windows, will I lose anything? Should I upgrade to Windows 11 or just reinstall?

Running slowly isn’t the only concern. A crashing system is even more serious (and shouldn’t occur). Have you verified CPU temperatures to confirm they’re normal? Have these problems persisted since you started using the machine? Is this a new issue or has it been getting worse over time?

You'll need to reinstall all your software, and the SSD will lose its contents, though your hard drives should remain intact. Keep in mind that even installed programs on the HDD may require reinstallation because Windows can't recognize them. Yes, Windows 11 has several issues and is still in beta testing. Additionally, your CPU is flagged as unsupported by Microsoft, which could prevent OS updates—though workarounds might exist. For now, sticking with Windows 10 seems safer for the next few months.

A solid option for performance checks is using benchmarking tools. These can help identify bottlenecks after hardware changes. Make sure to run tests like Cinebench or 3DMark to see how your new CPU and upgrades are holding up.

There are fewer excuses against choosing 11, yet I suggest sticking with 10 for better stability.

I recently moved to version 11 of my laptop because I encountered a similar problem and didn’t have anything critical on it, so I started over. What I noticed is that 11 is quite stable—mainly different from version 10 in terms of the interface and a few extra features. Both versions appear solid; just pick whichever suits you best.

I verified NZXT CAM and everything appears normal on my PC, no matter what software I use. Windows Explorer just froze, and temperatures are stable with minimal load. Despite this, RAM usage seems high, but it's idling at 60%. I have 16GB of RAM. My browser is using about 2GB, while the rest remains mostly idle. Is this something to worry about?

Test the program using this link to check for issues. If it detects any problems, those are likely causing the crashes.
