I found a Black Friday promotion and questioned whether it offers a superior choice compared to a Chromebook at the same cost. The built-in software in Windows is challenging to overlook, yet its performance on such basic hardware may be limited. The CNET piece doesn’t strongly support Windows as the best option. It’s unclear if Windows 8.1 functions well on this budget device or if Chrome OS would be a better fit.
