I found a Black Friday promotion and questioned whether it offers a superior choice compared to a Chromebook at the same cost. The built-in software in Windows is challenging to overlook, yet its performance on such basic hardware may be limited. The CNET piece doesn’t strongly support Windows as the best option. It’s unclear if Windows 8.1 functions well on this budget device or if Chrome OS would be a better fit.
Chrome works well on my powerful PC, and Word Online functions properly.
For simple browsing, use a Chromebook. For other tasks, opt for a Windows computer.
It seems to cost $250 for us Canadians. Do you still believe it's a good value despite the price?
