I moved into a new apartment, but sadly there’s no Ethernet port in my bedroom for my PC. I have a fiber connection with 1 gigabit down and 750 Mbit/s up. I’m curious if using a powerline adapter would give a more reliable link compared to Wi-Fi. I don’t need the fastest speeds, just something stable and consistent with minimal interruptions. Thanks!

It seems neither option will deliver a positive outcome. Powerline works inconsistently, depending largely on the home’s electrical setup. From the feedback we’ve received, it might be worth trying it if your Wi-Fi isn’t functioning, though expectations should remain low.

I wouldn't recommend handling any cabling work, especially in an apartment building. It seems like a challenging situation for both approaches you considered. Power lines might be less crowded, but the wiring from your router to your room could be tricky to manage.

Your apartment size is quite specific—ask about the exact dimensions and Wi-Fi placement needs. Regarding connectivity, if there are many walls between the router and the modem, consider Wi-Fi options with strong antennas like Intel 8265/9260/AX200. As for the building, if it's older, Power Line might not be ideal.
