While you’re new to macOS, your coworker mentioned UTM, which could potentially outperform VirtualBox on a 2016 MacBook Pro since it’s macOS-only. You’re using VirtualBox mainly for its simplicity and because VMware isn’t free. After adding Apple Virtualization, I noticed UTM launching without issues, though I’m still trying to understand the comparison.
