I use a 75Hz 1080p monitor for testing. Everyone, I’m thinking about replacing my GTX 1070ti Gaming X with a new graphics card. I’m evaluating the RTX 3070 or RTX 3060ti options. Prices vary a lot depending on where you live—especially between Europe and North America. The main difference is around 140 euros between the two models. I’ve checked the ASUS Dual versions: the RTX 3060ti is 410 euros, while the RTX 3070 costs 550 euros. Among these, the Palit and Zotac are among the more affordable, though I’m leaning toward ASUS for reliability. My decision hinges on whether I want to save about 170 euros or opt for the higher-end RTX 3070.

The 3060 Ti truly stands out as the most affordable option available. I personally recommend it.

NVIDIA admitted their own 3070 by dropping the 3070 Ti, likely planning a future release for that reason. Currently, the best value GPUs in their performance range are the 3060 Ti and 3080.

Yes, if the 3070 matches roughly the 3060ti value, it could make sense. However, moving up might require choosing the 6800 or 3080 based on market trends. At higher resolutions, the 3070 could be a good option. With these price points, the 3060ti or lower models might still be worth considering.

Interesting point about the comparison. Whether it's worth it depends on your needs. Some models like the 3060TI perform well at 1080p but may not be ideal for 1440p or 4K. Others, such as the 3070, are less suitable for high resolutions but could be excessive for lower ones. Personally, I’d pick the more powerful option if you’re targeting 1080p, but for 1440p it might suit you better in a few years. I’m currently using 1440p DSR and really enjoy it!
