Order a 3300X and a solid B450 board. Purchasing from Coffee Lake right now seems unreasonable given our Ryzen and Comet Lake-S setups.
I don't mind the money right now... I'm just looking for higher FPS in games like PUBG. The i5 9600k seems to give more FPS than the R5 3600 (around 20 more, which is a big difference). The i5-9600K isn't terrible, but it's not worth it now since you can upgrade to -10600K with just six more threads. Avoid the 9400F model. Consider Ryzen options—they offer a better value for money compared to what's been suggested.

When only talking about either the 9600K or the 9400F, I am assuming you won't really get a bottleneck either way; my 9600KF performs, imo, brilliantly with my 1660S OC, so based on that you should be fine, personally though, I know you're only talking about Intel but this is still good to consider, although the 9th gen i5s are by no means bad chips, I'd advise you to wait for the 10600K or go for an equivalent Ryzen chip
