In a vacuum scenario, the 5700G might have more cores but they perform slower. Away from that environment, the 5600 would likely be more affordable and offer better overall value.

Consider the 5700X. The 5700G offers 8 cores and 16 threads similar to the 5700X and 5800X, but because of its Vega graphics, it has significantly less L3 cache, resulting in reduced gaming performance. If you don’t require the built-in GPU, skip the 5700G. A 3700X or 3800X would perform better than it does.

Relies on whether you require more multicore or singlecore 5700g. It will be noticeably slower, though the 5800x3d offers substantial cache and isn't affected much by RAM speed above 3200MHz. You might manage some lag by keeping RAM operations fast or maintaining a clock around 5000MHz thanks to the chip's impressive timing. However, hitting 5000MHz is challenging for most RAMs, and not all systems support it. Few 16GB modules reach those speeds, and only a handful of 16GB variants are available. RYZEN chips with less than 2100MHz clocks won't see much impact, but this processor can handle around 2500MHz. It's mainly useful as a backup GPU if needed.
