I have a brief inquiry between these two processors. Although the Ryzen 5 3600 offers more cores and threads, the Ryzen 3300X outperforms it in gaming thanks to its Zen 2 7nm design and higher base clock. I'm curious about opinions on both CPUs regarding their performance in photo/video editing or streaming tasks. Would love to hear everyone's take on these two options. Note: Both use the same Zen 2 7nm architecture, but the 3300X consistently shows better results based on what I've observed.

They both run on the 7nm Zen 2 chip. Have you noticed any performance tests showing the 3300X as the top performer?

You're definitely correct! They're both Zen 2 architetcure. Here's a video I've seen of the two. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ALQ1YuBaxLs&t=268s

These videos aren't actual benchmarks; they're simulated results. For a thorough evaluation, explore Gamers Nexus. The data indicates the 3300X is matching or marginally trailing the 3600 in performance.

You can slightly boost the 3600 for matching the 3300X, and RAM speeds might vary during testing. Overall, they should perform similarly across most games.

You'll need the additional core in the 3600 for streaming and video editing. The slight drop in FPS is worth it. Higher maximum FPS isn't crucial; keeping stable, lower FPS values are more important for a smooth experience.

Absolutely, I completely agree! Your previous comment was very thoughtful. I didn’t take it into account while evaluating performance.
