I would pick the Ryzen 5 3500 because it offers two additional cores and a bit more L3 cache. It's worth mentioning that the Ryzen 5 3500 lacks hyperthreading support, whereas the 3300x does. That means the 3300x retains two more threads. (4 cores vs. 3500’s 6 cores and 6 threads.)
