Both systems will use an 1650 and each will run 16 gigabytes of DDR4 RAM. This setup could potentially perform better for CS2 at around 80-100 frames per second, thanks to the extra threads on the i7 compared to the i5.

Hard decision, chips from the Intel slump... I’d recommend the 6700K. It runs quicker and offers stronger single-core performance, plus it includes HT.

Results are nearly identical, just a minor difference in overclocking potential. The 6700K would align closely with the 8400, but without overclocking it would likely perform slightly better. It lacks hyperthreading. I’d choose the 6700K.

The board is designed exclusively for the i7 6700K and not the i5 8400. It lacks overclocking capabilities, and I’m unsure if the VRMs are strong enough for a standard i7 6700K. Using outdated components might be necessary for this project.
