The 8400 stands out as the superior option, with extra cores offering more value than hyperthreading. The 6700K could catch up only if you obtain a gold sample and push it to 4.8GHz. Overall, these chips don’t really justify the purchase unless you already have them and a compatible board, which is less appealing compared to an R5 5600 setup at a lower price.
