I've been checking online about whether adding more RAM improves Cities Skylines performance. I found a lot of discussions but no clear solution. I have many mods installed, and loading takes about 20 minutes. I tolerate the delay if it keeps the game running without crashes, since it often freezes, especially in crowded areas with lots of people, cars, and buildings. Will more RAM make a difference?

During gameplay, employ a tool such as performance monitor or hwmonitor to check memory usage. If it's being limited, that's the problem. Load times usually depend on the hard drive; consider switching to an SSD if feasible. Crashes might stem from bugs in certain mods—try disabling them one by one until the issues resolve.
