Davinci newer versions tend to perform better overall. They favor quicker cores. For FFmpeg, 14900k is the top result based on the benchmark at https://openbenchmarking.org/test/pts/ffmpeg, though I’m unsure if the site is accurate since I haven’t used it before.
You're likely correct, but... I'm based in Russia, which is generally the least favorable place to purchase electronics, particularly rare ones. A CPU with this socket usually costs 1.5 times its MSRP used, and if you're not looking for the best, you might have to find someone in Europe to buy it. That option is even pricier, and sellers can sometimes send you a 16-core Xeon-like processor with an LGA 2011 socket, which you might not be able to return. At least the LGA3647 is much more accessible, so... does it fit your A770?
