I just bought an i7 - 9700k but i wanted the i9 9900k and i can return the 9700k and go to another store, buy the i9 9900k and throw it into the Asus Rog Strix z390-H-gaming LGA1151 DO YOU GUYS THINK THIS IS WORTH DOING? I should say that I am building this PC specifically for CyberPunk 2077 1080p/1440p +100fps maybe 4k if i get one of those monitors
Overclocking at 9900ks works well since Intel is grouping better chips for the i9, but for gaming I’d recommend the i7 instead.
4k Gaming isn't really a good idea. Go with 1440p at 144hz displays. 9700k or 9900k might work similarly, but I favor 8700k instead of 9700k because Hyperthreading doesn't ruin certain games like GTA V or Red Dead Redemption 2 for some players.
but boxing day you're wondering if the i7 9700k (already bought but can return for 9900k) with 32gb 3200mhz RAM is a better upgrade than the i7 6700k paired with 16gb 2133mhz OC'd to 2666, or should you return the 9700k and get a 9900k instead? Also, you have a rog stix z399-gaming mobo and an h100i pro AIO.
