However, it's worth noting that purchasing now might not be the best idea. The Ryzen 4000 is expected soon and will likely match or surpass current Intel offerings, while probably offering superior performance compared to existing Ryzen models.

It's all about theory for now. If you noticed the gap between a Ryzen 5 2600 and an i5-10600k, upgrading to the i7-8700k would have been a better choice from the start. That performance gap has been around for three years, and those who valued it would have obtained it sooner. Personally, I still run a Ryzen 5 1600 and won't upgrade to a 4700x unless it can handle 1080p at 60fps. The investment isn't worth it yet. I plan to switch when the experience drops below that level.

Efficiency matters more here, and expanding the width seems logical. However, developers might find it more challenging to code for, and most seem content with a stable 30fps experience.
