The Google Play store frustrates me. I can't view content at low quality like 720p or higher because they forced it.

Consider trying VUDU. It’s easy to join and offers free access with Bluray digital download codes. You can stream on several devices and save content to your mobile device. Many films are sold before they’re released.

You are able to obtain them, though not in standard formats such as mp4 or mkv. The Google Play Movies app handles downloads differently, but it is possible to do so.
