For 1440p gaming, consider the Ryzen 5800X over the 5600X. A RTX3080 works well with the 5600X, but the 5800X offers better performance. TIA

Are you playing games? Obtain the 5600x. Are you thinking about streaming or recording? You should grab the 5600x since NVENC works well with it. Do you require those additional cores and want something future-proof? You wouldn't choose the 5800x due to AM5 compatibility. The price gap isn't significant, but if you can find it for about $50 more, I'd consider the 5800x. The 5600x pairs nicely with the 3080!
