Compare Ryzen 3600 Non-X and Ryzen 5800X paired with 2070 Super at 1080p resolution.
Hi there, I'm thinking about switching from my Ryzen 3600 (Non-X) to the Ryzen 5800X. I have a good offer from my supplier (about 260 euros) and want to know if it's worth it. I'm using a 1080p 144Hz Freesync monitor with a Palit 2070 Super on a B450 motherboard from MSI. Since I mostly play FPS games like Apex Legends, I've noticed some frame drops below 144Hz in tough moments. Knowing the CPU handles most of the work at 1080p, I'm worried the GPU might be the bottleneck. Based on reviews and benchmarks, it usually improves low and mid averages by about 20-25%. My goal is to maintain 144 FPS consistently, so I'm curious if this upgrade will meet that target. Thanks!
Hey everyone! I've moved to the 5800X and will be checking it out soon. @SupaKomputa, the discount between the two during the sale is just $5, which is why I picked 5800X instead of 5700X.
