3300x equals 3600 when the game runs single-threaded or has 4 cores or fewer. This isn't accurate for every title, especially most older ones. It seems the person asking isn't actually playing, so it's likely they're confused and probably not interested in gaming data.

In other words, just look for a more affordable option.

I’d suggest a 80% likelihood it’s cheaper. There are some aspects that feel unexpected, especially with multiple cores involved. For instance, complex spreadsheets are one of them. Still, everything remains at a professional level for those who work with numbers. Wordsmiths—including developers—require very little effort. Compilers handle the heavy lifting, just like gaming relies on data processing, which is essentially numerical today. The focus is on the specific use case. If it’s about video calls, movies, browsing, or word documents, the 1200af should suffice. Only with massive datasets do powerful processors become necessary. Gaming sits in a middle spot, needing speed without too many cores.
