Nord VPN or PIA – which offers better value? Ideal for online gaming? Lowest lag? More features available?

I would choose Nord VPN due to the privacy issues that occurred with PIA recently.

Discussing the case of a security breach that cost a person nearly $400,000 highlights the importance of strong technology safeguards.

I rely on PIA and it performs well. Watching 4K videos is smooth, with latency varying from 27ms to 150ms depending on the server you use.

I currently rely on NordVPN on my Windows 2012 R2 server (for reasons I won’t go into) and on my iPhone/Laptops in case I need public Wi-Fi or any other network I don’t control. It’s really great! I’ve never experienced any problems with it!

I've received many complaints and scary tales from both sides. Feel free to adjust your interpretation as needed. Based on your location, PIA appears to be quicker in most cases...

I believe both Nord and PIA are solid VPN options. I’m choosing NordVPN mainly for its SmartPlay feature, which allows streaming services like Netflix and Hulu outside the US. For gaming, I’d avoid using a VPN due to performance problems. You can always test free trials and check if the closest server works well for you. When it comes to extra features, Nord stands out with DoubleVPN, Cybersec, SmartPlay, while PIA offers a native Linux app. Ultimately, try the free trial yourself and see which one suits you best.
