Hello, your plan to switch from an i7 3770 to an RX 3300 X is a solid move. Since you mainly play games with some rendering tasks, IPC matters. Given your usage, this upgrade could be beneficial. Your current GPU is 1050 Ti, and you're thinking about swapping it for a 5700 XT, which is a reasonably priced mid-to-high end option locally. You replace GPUs every 3-4 years, so this seems like a reasonable decision for your needs. Just keep in mind the CPU and RAM demands of Minecraft modpacks, GTA, Overwatch, and esports—those can still impact performance.
yeah, didn't mention but the 3770 is in a sff case, the only reason i bought 1050ti instead of an rx 480/580
I’d wait a while before proceeding, ensuring the boards support Ryzen 4000 compatibility. Once ready, I’d opt for a 3600 paired with a B550.
Consider investing more in the X570 instead; the B550 boards might not match its performance at launch.
