Hello, your plan to switch from an i7 3770 to an RX 3300 X is a solid move. Since you mainly play games with some rendering tasks, IPC matters. Given your usage, this upgrade could be beneficial. Your current GPU is 1050 Ti, and you're thinking about swapping it for a 5700 XT, which is a reasonably priced mid-to-high end option locally. You replace GPUs every 3-4 years, so this seems like a reasonable decision for your needs. Just keep in mind the CPU and RAM demands of Minecraft modpacks, GTA, Overwatch, and esports—those can still impact performance.

The 3300x over 3770 isn't a huge jump. I'd prefer a 3600, hoping for b550 boards. You can get an RX 5700xt now and it might lag in CPU-heavy games, but it will still be much better than a 1050Ti.

yeah, didn't mention but the 3770 is in a sff case, the only reason i bought 1050ti instead of an rx 480/580
