Hey everyone, I’m planning to upgrade to a better wireless router. My current one is really basic and the ISP gives it away. I live in a three-story apartment with thick walls made of brick, and my PC and gaming gear are on the opposite side. I want something suitable for a home setup in the future. I’m considering the Netgear XR500 but think the R8500 is about $20 cheaper. With many devices and three other people sharing the space, I need a reliable option. Any advice on which one to choose? The XR500 performs well with the NetDumo OS for gaming enhancements. I chose the R8500 mainly due to its dual-port aggregation option, which has been available for a few weeks now. It delivers fast speeds and strong coverage. Since I’m more comfortable with standard Netgear setup menus, I was confident it would meet my requirements.
