Hey everyone, it's really coming down to these two motherboards. I'm trying to figure out which one to choose based on what others say. From forums, MSI seems to be improving, while ASUS has had issues with AMD gear before. The Hero model is $40 more expensive on both boards. What should I pick?
Asus stopped supporting Aura since AMD's third generation launch (though it’s not directly connected, that’s the situation). The hardware still functions fine as expected. MSI’s design choices are questionable, especially with only four SATA ports on such a high-end board.
The four SATA ports seemed doubtful, but since I have four SSDs and a NVMe PCIe SSD, the board should still work for me. Regarding stability, BIOS updates and common problems differ between ASUS and MSI—some users report better experiences with one brand over the other.
They match up quite a bit in those aspects. The Gigabyte Aorus Master, Ace, Master, and Hero all perform similarly in function and features. Asrock Taichi stands out more, offering better value but with less overclocking power. If you're looking for budget options, the MSI Unify is the more affordable alternative—it's a stripped-down version of the Ace while retaining essential components like the gold accents and onboard RGB lights.
