Am4 will stop receiving updates beyond Zen3. The AM4 connector is set to become outdated for upcoming Ryzen chips after the 4000 line.
b550 offers little extra value compared to b450. the tomahawk is a solid board with good performance and enough features. if you can, choose the b550 tomahawk; otherwise, stick with the b450. a newer chipset on an older motherboard is preferable to a newer chipset on a less capable board.
